Missionary Care Team (M Care)

The purpose of the M Care (i.e., Missionary Care) Team is twofold:

• To support Berean missionaries abroad by interceding for them in prayer (2Th 3:1), informing them of events and general church concerns at home, and encouraging them through a variety of different projects (1Th 5:11).
• To increase awareness of our missionaries’ concerns to our congregation by informing them of their activity, evangelistic progress, and prayer requests.

The team was formed because physical distance ought not to disconnect believers from one another. Understanding the unique challenges that our missionaries are faced with (Acts 14:22), we believe it is the church’s responsibility to remember those who are laboring to do gospel ministry. To fulfill this duty, it is vital to bridge the communication gap between those who are living in foreign countries and those who are at home. Current activities of the M Care Team include: monthly newsletter, prayer inserts for the church, China blog updates, prayer meetings, and seasonal gift-giving. We hope that our love for the Lord will be expressed though the love that we show to our brothers and sisters overseas by serving on this team joyfully and faithfully (1Jn 4:7-8).
