Hi Church Family,
Below is a letter that was sent by Yohan from Ft. Benning to the church. Also included, is a return address that would be good to write down for the purpose of writing our brother back and encouraging him while he is far from home.
OC Kim, Yo-Han
Class #303-08, 4th Platoon
Delta Compnay, 3-11th Infantry Regiment (OCS)

Dear brothers and sisters of Berean,
Hey you guys, it's been a very long time since I got in contact with all of you. I hope that everyone is doing very well and are in good health. I miss all of you so much and Berean has always been in my heart and and in my thoughts. God has blessed me with a good community of Christians here at Fort Benning and their fellowship has really been uplifting and encouraging to me, however, it's nothing like the awesome fellowship at Berean that I have had with you guys for the four years I was at UC Irvine. I am doing okay here in Georgia but I tell ya, the military training to become a United States officer is not easy at all. I just recently finished a 12-station obstacle course that had very tall walls and really slippery logs that we had to balance ourselves and walk across on and if we fail, well, let's just say that it would not look good for the officer candidate. One thing I like about this military training is tha the sergeants don't get in your face and yell as much, in fact, we actually get treated kinda like a human being instead of a piece of dirt that we would get treated at boot camp; that in itself is a blessing. ![]()
The weather also is not too bad here like it was a couple of weeks ago. [Then], we had to train in 19-degree weather; now we train in 60 to 68-degree weather. It feels like summer to us compared to the 19-degrees. Ha ha ha! Anyways, it's just about time for me to go to sleep now so I am going to stop writing. When I have the chance again, I will try to write to you guys. Until then, take care and God bless!
Always your brother in Christ,
Yohan Kim
PS. Please pray that God will protect me from receiving any injuries throughout my training, please also pray that I will be in good health throughout my training and lastly, please pray that God will keep my family safe. It would mean so much to me!
Soli deo Gloria.
