1) Chart out what exactly was created on each day of Creation.

2) Note any patterns and repetition that give structure to the way the Creation account is described. In other words, what words and phrases repeat in the descriptions for each day?

3) Pay attention to the creation of humanity in vv. 26-30. What is unique about man sets him apart from the other parts of creation? What does this say about God's purpose and design for mankind?

4) Read John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 1:2 and 11:3. How do each of these NT passages expand upon and complement the Creation account in Genesis?
